Over the years the methods and ingredients used in cooking on the outdoor trips have changed. But this image is recognizable by any St. John’s boy. Taken on a Fall hiking trip, this would have been most student’s introduction to outdoor cooking in the bush. Similar cooking methods were used on canoe trips, dog runs and exploratory trips. Some of you honed your culinary skills while cooking for these expeditions.
