I think it must be the diminished hours of daylight this time of year that has me thinking about the northern canoe trips. These two pictures were taken on June 21, 1997 when the Yukon River brigade paddled (well… they appear to be sleeping?) through the night and saw the sun “set” and “rise” in a 30 minute period.
