Last week’s memory related the story of the Christmas production at our “Voyageur’s Christmas”. The production was presented once – the last day of school before Christmas break.
These photos are from the re-tracing of the voyageur’s trips from Rocky Mountain House to Winnipeg’s Upper Fort Garry in 1985, celebrating Parks Canada’s 100th anniversary. In each town along the way the students performed traditional voyageur songs and dances. This trip was 6 weeks long – so there were many, many performances! It many not have been Christmas time, but it was perhaps a truer “voyageur’s production”.
