For those who have attended a boarding school – you understand what special bonds can be formed through the shared experiences. At St. John’s, these bonds can be even stronger because the experiences shared were so unique… the honey sales, dorm life, weekends in town, ski trips, canoe trips…
Share with us your story of those special friendships that have lasted through time … grown men who still call each other just to touch base and remember being young again.

Right now, as I sit in front of my computer, and think on the list of friends that if they called me, I’d drop everything and go to their aid, or inversely if I were in trouble, the people I would call. Pretty much all of them are from St. Johns.
I didn’t feel that I knew another staff member until I had done a trip with them. The shared moments of beauty — sunsets over a still lake, loons calling, frost on a mountain meadow as we got on the trail before the sun hit the vallely. The shared hardship — sweating the Samuel Herne over a tough portage, collecting wood at the end of a long day of dog sledding, staggering with fatigue, cutting trail through bug infested muskeg, Cold driving rain. Muscle cracking headwinds.
