I seem to recall extensive quoting from Pink Floyd…
We don’t need no education
We dont need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Leave us kids alone

Shorts that short are so NOT in currently.
South facing walls were a lot more popular. Guys could work on their tans, and spring sun felt good after the long (eternal? felt like it) winter.
The years we did north facing chunks wasn’t nearly as popular. Was actually cold out there on morning duty, and there wasn’t a lot of sun.
For those of you who arrived when the wooden wall had been replaced with steel:
The wooden siding needed work every few years. Clean, pound protruding nail heads back in, sand lightly, stain. PJ had a rotation to do a major chunk of wall each spring.
